On the way, Jon spotted Kyla Leeson at the end of the hall. Wow, did she look different. This "new" Kyla wore a long black lace dress, making her resemble a witch. Jon saw black boots with three-inch stacks on her feet and a black gothic necklace around her neck. Her skin was pale and her hair was dyed black. She had black lipstick, black eyeliner, and black nail polish. She also had piercings in her ears and nose. After seeing her as the slutty cheerleader the whole day before, it was weird to see her as a Goth girl now. It was quite a contrast.
She appeared to be looking down the hall at something. Jon turned his head to try to follow her gaze. He figured that she was looking at Karyn and her friends. He looked back at Kyla. She had her head turned slightly down towards the floor, but her eyes stared straight at Karyn. It gave her a sort of evil look, especially with her heavy eyeliner.
When Jon got closer, Kyla noticed him looking at her. She turned her head and said "What the fuck are you looking at?"
Not answering her question, Jon asked one of his own. "Why are you spying on Karyn?"
Kyla curled her lip with disgust and said "That's none of your fucking business." Then she stomped off down the hall.
"What was that all about?" Sarah asked.
"I'm not sure. I thought she was spying on Karyn."
"Well, those two hate each other," Sarah said. "They'll kill each other eventually. Just wait and see."
Jon got hit with deja vu. That was almost the same exact statement that Zoe said the previous day at lunch.
"I've got to get to my locker. I'll see you first period."
"Okay," Jon said, watching Sarah walk away. Sweet and kind Sarah. If only she could stay like this.
