Jon couldn't believe what had just happened. First, he had tried to flaunt his body to his own father. Then, his father had acted completely oblivious and acted like a little kid, which Jon supposed was pretty much exactly what he was. As Jon looked on, his Mom ran over and flopped down next to her husband. Enjoying this but curious what else had happened, Jon decided to go to Karyn's house.
A short time later, Jon knocked on Karyn's door. Karyn, he knew, lived alone with her divorced mother. The lock turned, and Mrs. Scott opened the door. However, this was a very different Betty Scott than Jon remembered. She was wearing a white button-up shirt, jeans that were pulled up above her belly button, and horn rimmed glasses. Her hair was a bit unkempt, she wore no makeup at all, and Jon noticed several pimples. "H-Hey, J-J-Jon," she said, "K=Karyn's u-upshhhhtairs."
Jon recognized the awkward stutter and slurs of one of the school nerds, Arthur Pendleton. Jon and Arthur had been friends in first grade, but Arthur grew increasingly nerdy while Jon found other interests and now they were little more than acquaintances. Walking in, Jon saw Mrs. Scott go back to her game of Dungeons and Dragons with three guys about her own age that Jon had never met. All of them ignored Jon, as they returned to their game.
Jon walked up the stairs, curious what the personality swap had done to Karyn.
