Jon turned around and saw his mom.
"Jon? What are you doing down here?"
"Uh, nothing. I was just wondering where dad was."
His mom gave him an awkward look, like his question was odd or something. "You know that your dad is at the game."
"Game? What game?"
"Jon? Are you feeling okay?"
This situation was taking a bad turn. Jon realized that using the stone was the best way to find out where his dad was. Otherwise, his conversations with people would seem awkward.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just a little tired, that's all."
"Well, maybe you should go to bed early tonight."
"Good idea."
Jon went back to his bedroom and got out the stone. "I wish to know where my dad is right now." The stone glowed and Jon knew.
He stared straight ahead. He couldn't believe it. His dad was in a locker room at a football stadium, because he was an NFL player. Professional football! No wonder they had an HDTV. NFL players make some pretty good money. Now Jon was wondering what other expensive items his family had.
