After Jon had finished dinner, the doorbell rang. His mom got up, just left her plate on the dinner table, and went to answer the door.
His dad made a sigh and reached over to pick up his wife's plate. Jon interrupted him. "I've got it, Dad." His dad smiled. But it was a pathetic smile.
After Jon put the dishes in the sink, he walked into the living room to see who came over. They were two really hot women, probably in their mid-twenties (which was at least 10 years younger than his mom). As he got closer, he heard their conversation.
"So, Linda. Are you, like, gonna go with us to the mall, or what?" one of them said, acting impatient.
"Like, totally. I have got to get out of this place. You have, like, no idea what it's like to live here," his mom answered back. She turned her head towards Jon, when she noticed her friends' gazes had drifted away from her.
"Hi, there," one of them said, smiling.
"Hi," Jon said, only because he didn't know what else to say.
"You have a girlfriend?" the other asked, also smiling. It was clear that they were flirting with him.
"Well ... yeah. Yeah, I do," he replied, thinking of Karyn. Okay, maybe she wasn't his girlfriend, but she was close. "Her name's Karyn."
"She's pretty good looking," Jon's mom said. "But I think my son could do a lot better. I mean, she's got these, like, huge breasts and a great ass. But she never wants to show any of it off. Can you believe that?"
Jon stared at her.
His mom continued to talk, moving past the insult to Karyn as if it were nothing. "Okay, I'm gonna go get my stuff. Then we can, like, get out of here."
And she went upstairs, leaving Jon with the two hot, but somewhat ditzy, girls.
