"Well, yeah. He's been doing it for nearly twenty years."
Twenty years? Jon thought.
"Are you feeling alright, Jon?" Zoe asked.
"Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine. Um, where exactly is this concert?"
Zoe chuckled. "Why? Are you thinking of going to it?"
"No. I'm just curious."
"I think it's over in Grandville," she replied. Grandville was a slightly larger town about ten miles west of Jon's hometown. It did have a concert hall, so it made sense.
"Okay, thanks." Jon went back to his bedroom and took out the stone. It was only curiosity (at least that's what he told himself), but he had to at least see what his "new" father was like, in case he never got to see him during the week.
Stone in hand, Jon said "I wish I would be at the concert my dad is playing at." The stone glowed and Jon disappeared from his room.
