A few minutes later when he mustered enough strength to stop crying (it was like his emotions were out of control, or something), Jon stood up from his bed and began to explore his new bedroom.
He went to his dresser and opened the first and second drawers. There was nothing in them that piqued his interest - mostly just clothes. But in the third drawer, he found a note that was in his own handwriting. He took it out and looked at it. Then he froze, realizing that it was suicide note. In the fourth drawer, he found razors. Some of them had blood on them. Probably his blood.
For the first time, he looked down at his arms. He could now clearly see the places where he had cut himself. There was nothing on his wrists, but there were several on his forearms.
"My god. What kind of screwed up life is this?"
Karyn looked at the clock. What was taking him so long? He said that he'd meet her at her house and then the two of them could go hang out at the mall.
Suddenly, the doorbell rang. She jumped off her bed and ran to the front door and opened it.
She smiled. "Hi, Derek."
Derek Lettman smiled back. He looked nothing like an emo boy anymore. In fact, he looked a lot like what Jon used to look like, before his wish. Just a normal boy. "Are you ready to go?"
"Yeah," she answered.
And they both went to the mall.
