Jon saw his grandfather's letter, now addressed to Zoe (he found himself hating her then, for being loved more. Was this how Zoe had always felt?), and right next to it was ... yes, the stone. He picked it up out of the box. But before he could use it, someone pushed him on the floor. He looked over his shoulder. It was Zoe, dressed nearly like what Jon used to dress like: a T-shirt and jeans.
"What are you doing in my room?!" she yelled. Then she noticed what was in Jon's hand: the stone. "That's mine! Give it back!" she yelled, as she lunged for the stone.
