Opening the door, Jon was relieved to find that his sister was not home. He walked into her room, shutting the door behind him. It had changed slightly, becoming expectedly more like his room. There were action figures on the shelves, posters on the wall of trendy bands, and what used to be his TV against the wall connected to a Playstation 2.
All at once he felt disgusted. How could he have liked that crap? Why did he ever think that U2 sounded good? How could someone play videogames so much?
Shrugging it off, he walked over to Zoe's bed and lifted the dust ruffle. He almost laughed as he saw a familiar stack of Playboy and Hustler magazines lying there. He and Zoe had a few new things in common now. He brushed the magazines aside and was relieved to see a familiar old shoebox back way underneath the bed. He grabbed ahold of it and pulled it out.
He opened the box, hoping to find the stone inside.
