Stacy was focused on Mikey. "How could Linda be helping you with math?"
Mikey blinked. "Linda was...until you came in..." He said, not realizing that he called his mother Linda.
"Mikey...." Jon warned. "Don't say anything else..."
"What do you mean, don't say anything?" Mikey asked Jon, confused.
"She's trying to do something to you," Jon said. "Like she turned your picture of Colonel Midnight into a unicorn," he said, pointing to the unicorn picture which was behind Mikey.
Mikey looked at it. "She's always had that picture there," he said.
"It's my favorite," Stacy said, seemingly innocent.
"It's her favorite," Mikey repeated.
"You're real good at math too, so you don't need anyone helping you," she said.
"That's nice of you to say," Mikey said. "I'm not THAT good at math."
"Mikey..." Jon said. "You got a 70 on your last math test..." he said. Although, honestly, he thought that was because school wasn't exactly something Mikey was interested in.
Mikey turned. "I didn't..." he insisted. He seemed to believe whatever Stacy said.
"Wasn't that you who got the 70, Jon?" Stacy said, grinning at him, not that Mikey could see, as he was now squarely facing Jon. "That's why you needed help with your math homework."
"I do fine in math," Jon said. Wait...this is about Mikey... He thought.
"I'm going to walk my new friend Linda next door..." Stacy said, taking Linda's arm.
"That's a long enough break," Mikey said. "Why don't we get back to your tutoring session?" He said.
Jon frowned. "Stacy..."
She turned. "Yes, Jon?" She asked, innocently. "Did you change your mind and want to play with me?"
