after a half hour or so (Sarah lived further away than Karyn did), Jon heard his doorbell ring. He ran downstairs and opened it, and was greeted by Sarah, his new best friend. She was still as beautiful as she always was, but her makeup had been toned down slightly. And instead of being all "pinked-out," she was wearing a tight green t-shirt and jeans, like something Jon would have seen Karyn wear.
"Hey, sorry it too me so long to get over here," she said as she walked in. "I ran into your bitch neighbor and the pep squad on the way over."
Given the state of things prior to his wish, Jon had a pretty good idea that she was referring to Karyn, who now hung out with the rest of the cheerleading squad. As the walked up to his room, Sarah recounted the story of how the girls had mocked and teased her, asking her how many boxes of tissue she had spent stuffing her bra that morning (apparently the stone had made her breasts the result of a recent growth spurt).
They sat down in Jon's room, Sarah on the bed and Jon at his computer chair, and Jon pulled out the rock. Sarah brightened at this. "Oh, right! I almost forgot about the rock," she laughed.
Jon held it up. "So what did you have in mind for 'testing it out'" he asked.
She took the stone from him. "Hm. We could be rich. Or famous. Then I bet shed be nicer to..." she turned back to him. "Dammit Jon, I hate her so much!"
Before Jon could stop her, she said "I wish..."
