The rock went warm in Jon's hands, and he felt a breeze blow past him.
Looking around, he saw that several things in his room had changed. His old photos had all shifted. Now instead of being pictures of him and Karyn, the were images of him and Sarah. He saw last year's homecoming photo, where he had now taken Sarah to the event. Opening one of his old yearbooks, he saw pictures of Karyn wearing a cheerleader uniform and Sarah's trademark smirk. Karyn's wish-enlarged assets had apparently been sufficient for her to just change social status with Sarah as well.
Then, Jon got a phone call. He thought it was Karyn at first, but then realized that it was Sarah, despite her sounding like Karyn (it was Karyn's inflections and speech patterns she had inherited, after all).
"Hey Jon, what you up to?" Sarah asked.
"Not much, just haning out, thinking of playing some games."
"Jon, I've been thinking about the stone and those wishes we made?"
Now Jon was slightly confused.
"...what wishes?"
"Jon, you know, the ones to make my hair blonde and my um, you know, bigger?"
"Oooh, those ones. Um, yeah. What about them?"
Now this was interesting, Jon thought to himself. Apparently now Karyn had the natural beauty and Sarah's was stone-given. It made sense in a weird way, he thought to himself.
"...so we can test it out some more."
Jon realized he hadn't been paying attention. Trying to make up for it, he said
"Yeah, sure, sounds good."
"Ok, cool," Sarah responded. "I have to shower and all that, but I'll be over in about an hour, ok?"
"Um, ok," Jon said, wondering what he'd just agreed to.
He'd have to stick around and wait for his friend, but now he was curious to see how Karyn acted, even if he was pretty sure she'd just be like Sarah had been.
