Well, I wouldn't be mad at you for doing it, but I wouldn't be following on from that point, no. I've already basically said my piece on the reasons for sticking with this course, and given a couple reasonable in-story justifications as well; beyond that, if it really bothers you that much, all I can say is "sorry it bugs you."
