We will be the foundation of a new colony and give rise to a new hive, stronger and mightier than we could ever imagine." he said in a very rousing rallying speech. We cheered and whooped in our enthusiasm. We then went out in force. Prince Zuhos led the way and took us to the site he wanted to build the hive. I was surprised when I saw it was on the plains. It was a far distance from any Cosqux and Ichae that I could see. He had to have gone out and scouted it ahead of time though, so I was not worried at all.
The basic foundation for a large structure was laid down and the gatherers had to get to work right away. Even though I was not that good, all hands were needed on the job. Even his servants and harem helped by making the wax containers for everything. We were on call for 36 hour shifts. It was grueling work, but we needed to get everything done as soon as possible. It took several weeks, but it was finally done. We had a single floor completed above ground. The builders then took to burrowing down into the ground to make several sub level floors. It took another month, but there were now eight basement levels. It worked much the same as back in Wovili. Now that we could go back to our original designations, I was able to go back to making honey. I consistently made S and S+ honey. My harem members did work on honey production after all and could reliable make B honey. I then told them to work on their combat again. They gave me a funny look, but I pulled them close with a hug and said "Thank you. I really appreciate it." Ogill and Ricud rolled their eyes with a light blush.
With that out of the way, we started to go on patrols again. It was while we were flying that we encountered the Zegrax. They were sort of exoskeletal centaurs. They had a humanoid torso and head covered in brown chitin. I thought they looked cool. On their heads were two pointed horns. They had red eyes. If they had any irises, it was indistinguishable from the rest of the eye. They shouted at us but we ignored them. We found a Cosqux with bright blue flowers. It had tan Ichae at the bottom. We ate a bit and collected the needed pollen and nectar. Before we could leave with what we got, we were stopped. I checked my encyclopedia and saw they were Tragril. If we were bee morphs, they were wasp morphs. They could sting you repeatedly with toxin infused stingers. They could even shoot their stingers out once a month. They carried swords in their hands. This was not good. Tragil were omnivorous and parasitic. That meant they could eat us or lay eggs in us and force us to carry them. Their bronze bodies were lean and athletic. It would probably come to fighting them off.
