It was rather strange though. In this reality, he had a lot of friends he didn't before. Aisha, Carly, Samantha...He wondered why that was. He hadn't been friends with the people who occupied their lives before. He supposed it must be the side effect of Samantha being in his life. She was different than Karyn, had made different friends, and brought them into his orbit. But, he had to wonder about the friends he'd had before...were they different because he hadn't become friendly with them? Was he still friendly with them?
At the same time, what about those who had different friends because of his wish. Kyla was a teacher, so who was Jay's best friend? Who did his neighbor Leonard have a crush on in this reality if not Melissa Smith? What were his friends Pete and Tim up to?
As for Karyn, when he next had the stone, he needed to wish that in the next cycle, Karyn would know him. Today was Thursday, and like Tuesday, the day the wish started, the school day ended earlier. Would that mean it would work like the first day,yesterday...or maybe something completely different? And what about Samantha? How did he keep her in his life?
Samantha elbowed him gently. "I don't know what you are thinking, but whatever happens when your wish wears off...you could still be in trouble for being late to class today."
He blinked. Only a few more classes before an early end to the day.
