My centaur form was nice and it took me some time to get used to having four legs. When I had a handle on it, I was able to move about. 'It gets a lot easier when you get used to it. Soon, you will be able to run with the best of the herdsmen.' Alex thought at me. The twins went with me everywhere I went. Since they were the only ones that I was really cool with, I let them. I went up the path and looked out on the plains. It was certainly a different worldview now that I was taller and bulkier. I walked all around the surrounding area and was at peace. I was curious about the human settlement that was a few miles away. With my horse lower half, it would not take that long to get there. I decided to go on my own, but the twins got in front of me. I tried to go around them. Ash and Alex blocked me at every turn. There was no point in trying to forcibly push past them as they were stronger than me. 'What the hell are you thinking!? We can't bring humans to the sacred grotto! They will taint and destroy it. Don't be a dumbass or we'll knock you out!' Alex snapped angrily at me. I would have to go as a human.
It was then that a male Trueleap Half Blood approached us. He had two Half Blood lackeys with him as well. 'Did you really a Thin Blood like you could get away with trying to breed a mare from our tribe. You have no standing in your own tribe, let alone ours.' the leader though. "She was the one who came over to us. It's her own fault if she came here when she was that easy to put in heat." I said with crossed arms. That seemed to rile up the other shifters. The leader came to my face and pushed his nose in my neck and chest. "What the fuck are you doing!?" I demanded as I tried, and failed, to push him back. 'Danger. He's too dominant.' my inner animal whined at me in fear. The offending horse whinnied and thought 'If you can't see why you shouldn't try and mount mares that aren't yours, maybe you'll understand when you get mounted by a real herdsman.' "The hell!? I am a guy!" I snapped as I took a step back to create some distance. 'You won't be when I'm done. You will be begging for all the stallion seed you can handle inside you for the rest of your life.' The horse rubbed against me.
Disgusted, I bopped him hard on the nose. The horse was angry. "Fuck off! I'm not telling you again." I said as I drew the sword still on my back. I left my bow and arrows with my clothes, but there was no way I was going to be totally unarmed in a strange area. 'You think a puny steel sword can harm me!? You might as well have brought out a wooden stick.' That was true. Shifters were blessed with high regeneration, but were weak to silver and the blessed items others carried with them. Even so, I was not going to sit still and take being fucked. My inner animal was resigned to let it happen, but I was not listening to it. Alex got in between us. 'Not right now! Tonight is the sacred Shifter Summit. If you shed blood here, it could kick off a war.' he let us know. The Trueleaps were not ready to back down. Eventually, the leader thought 'Fine! I will get my revenge later.' He then looked around. It nodded and thought 'We will meet the three of you after the summit at the human village over there. If you lose, we get to fuck the three of you.' "The same to you losers. You all better be there when this ends." I replied.
A Trueleap Pure Blood called out to them and they turned to answer them. They left us alone. 'What the hell was that!? You got us involved in your mess!' Ash groaned in my head. I shrugged and said "I just had them go over there. We don't actually need to fight them. We can just go back to wherever home is." 'No way. Word will spread all around that Goldtail fled from Trueleap. We can't have that.' Alex thought. I just rolled my eyes. "I hope you two can fight then. It's your ass on the line after all." I gave them a sigh. They looked as confident as two horses can be. That meant we would fight. I just hoped that we came out on top. If not, we would be fucked. Literally. All of the time remaining was spent talking to other members of the tribe. It was pretty nice. When the sun began to rise, the herds got more and more delirious and wild. They ran and frolicked around. Eventually, they crashed on the spot and passed out. As the sun rose higher in the sky, they began reverting back to human form. I reverted as well. The Thin Bloods and Progenitors were still standing among the tribes. The first Summit was done.
