Everyone knows Subs can be put down by Dom villians." he said as if stunned. He took a step back from me. "We are badass fighters. We also have good powers that help us out. Mike can fucking fly! Why wouldn't be able to get in? Heroic College isn't even that high rated." "B-but Nathan said there wasn't any point and m-my grades weren't good enough." "How bad were they?" was the question I posed. He frowned and said "I'm not a dumbass. I got C-'s. Except in Gym and in Science. I got A's in those." "That's OK! Our school is mid tier. You could have gone to a bad school."
That seemed to shock him to the core. "But... then why did I let him collar me?" he muttered to himself. "Did you let Nathan collar you?" I asked. He blinked as his shaky hands lifted to the collar. He then recoiled from it. "You know the rules. Nathan was the second leader of our year and he choose me and Sydney. I was the number 5 of our year until the exam. Sydney was the number 1 until he turned out to be a Sub. Nathan was the number 2. I did not have a choice he told me to kneel and I was on my knees before I knew it. He fucked the both of us and slapped these dog collars on us before we could even do anything." He began tearing up. I rolled my eyes and said "Why don't you try the tryouts? It's this weekend again. Even Desmond and Evan are going." Jamie scoffed and snapped "Like Nathan is going to let me go that far without him!" "Why don't you just break it off?" I asked a bit uncaringly. I knew that only Doms could do it. If a Dom did it, the Sub could get psychological backlash. He just glared at me. "Unless you're offering to take me, no. I couldn't do the tryouts depressed or in a coma."
He was right. I said "I'm a Switch. I always said that I would never collar anyone and I would never be collared. But, if you want to try being free of him, I can make a very small exception for you. You'll have to register for the tryouts and show me. You also have to by a collar that you would want to wear." He narrowed his eyes at me and said "I'm kissing you again. If you register for the tryouts and buy a new collar, I will fight him and make him give you up." He looked at me and said "I could tell him everything and have him kick your ass." "Go ahead. We already signed the paperwork. Worse case is we just call them up and move in the dorms early. There's only a few more weeks before the year is up anyway." I said with a shrug. He just turned and walked off. "It wears off in two hours, so don't run your mouth to other people on the way home." he said as he left me on the street.
