As they were leaving Jon's bedroom, they accidentally bumped into Jon's sister Zoe.
"Hey, watch where the fuck you're going!" she yelled out, as she was walking into her bedroom.
Jon spoke into the device. "You hate everything that has to do with Goths." He aimed it right at Zoe and pulled the trigger before her bedroom door closed.
As Jon and Karyn walked downstairs, they heard Zoe cry out. "What the hell happened to my room?!"
"What's Zoe yelling about now?" Jon's mom asked. She was eating her breakfast in the kitchen.
"I don't know," Jon said, lying. As he stood there, he wondered if there was any memory alterations he could do to his mom. The Memory Manipulator, if used right, could give people good memories, the kind of memories people wanted to have. And God knows that his mom had been through some tough times, including the difficult divorce she went through a few years ago. Maybe tweaking her memory was a good idea.
But should he do it now, or do it later?
