"Who are you going to contact first?" Karyn asked.
Jon already had something in mind. So, he said "Who in the universe where Sarah McMillan is a kind and pleasant person." Then he said "Jon," to specify who he wanted to talk to in that reality.
"Hello?" they heard a voice say. It was coming from the device.
"Is this Jon?" Jon asked.
"Yeah. Who is this?" the voice asked.
"Jon. I'm you from a parallel reality."
"No way. This is some kind of trick, right?"
"No trick." He turned to Karyn and asked her if she wanted to say anything.
"Uh ... hi, Jon," she said.
"Who's that?" the voice asked.
"That's Karyn."
"Karyn? Karyn who?"
"Karyn Black," she said.
"What the hell is Karyn doing there?" the voice asked.
"What do you mean?" asked Jon.
