I wish I had a device that would allow me to communicate with a version of myself, Karyn or anyone from an alternate reality of my choosing."
As Jon said that, a device that looked like a sophisticated PDA appeared in his hand. On its small screen, menus appeared, each one for a different aspect of the device's functionality. It had many choices for alternate realities, each one beginning with the words Who In.
Jon liked that, but he thought it might be easier if he could choose something that wasn't on the list. There were, in fact, infinite alternate realities.
"I wish that this device would allow me to choose alternate realities and persons by voicing them in by saying Who in before the reality and a name or description of the person afterwords." That way he could just say out loud where he wanted to go, instead of just picking it from the menus.
Another thing occurred to him. He didn't want to go contact another reality and have people wondering how we are able to communicate.
"I wish that in the reality that someone contacted wouldn't wonder how we are able to communicate thru reality."
"You thought this thing through, haven't you, but something like Who In men dressed like little girls Jon sounds weird" Karyn said.
"Yeah I guess but it's to late to change it now." He looked down at the device. "Now to see if it works."
"Who are you going to contact?" she asked.
Jon had something in mind. So, he said the words to activate the device: "Who in ..."
