I looked down at them and drew my blade. I pressed it against Souris's cheek. "Since you are helpless, give me one reason why I should not skewer you right here and now." The Protector just glared up at me and said "If you do it, you better not miss" he said. I could still see the hatred in his eyes. I lifted his blade and drove it between his eyes. I then twisted the blade to really seal the deal. He disappeared into a flurry of sparks with his death. "A wise choice. I have a harsh curse on my body. The one who kills me will be struck deaf, blind, mute and numb. The curse of living death." he said with a smirk. I shook my head as I reached down to take the amulet. It was an easy task with how weak he was. I called the two paladin squires and I nodded. They lifted their blades and we all plunged them down on my count. He also disappeared. The miasma covered the three of us. I pinched myself and I could feel it. I could see myself hold my fingers up to snap. I could not hear it. I tried to ask them something, but I could not speak. I got two debuffs from the murder.

That meant one of them could not see and one could not feel. I walked up to one and raised a finger to gauge if they could see. Their pupils did not move and their eyes had a film over them. That made the other was a numb to everything. I knew that it was a lost cause for the blind one. I could not guide him, and the other was practically fine. Rolling my eyes, I began to walk to the exit, The numb one dragged the blind one along. Because I had the amulet, the undead did not mess with us. That was at least something. When we got to the surface, I went to the keep and found that everyone inside was already dead. It seemed that the naga tribes were able to kill all of the people the undead hordes could not. I was given the option to take the city by myself. I declined and moved on. We had to return to the scout and the naga. The numb paladin told them what happened. The scout looked at us in dismay. The only way we can get that miasma off you is to got to the shrine. I went to the eggs and picked one up. The naga hissed at me, but I glared him into submission.

Suffering the debuff was one thing. I wanted a prize for my troubles. I picked a second one up out of spite. I then walked back out of the house. I looked for a good horse and sturdy cart. Luckily, there were some in the stables to get. They were all emaciated and on death's doorstep. No one was able to feed them during the crisis. I knew I had to feed them and get them back to full heath. I gave the best and fastest horses the best food. The others could die for all I cared. It took a week before I could get them healthy enough to travel. The survivors in the city had started to come out. The undead were still roaming, but there was no way for them to get reset. That led to some more causualties, but it was still enough for them to rally and beat back the undead. With the zombies dying off, the nagas became the next challenge. All the red nagas had died out, but there were still the blue, yellow and violet tribes. They were a big challenge for the strained mostly women and children under the care of their churches. I could care less about that. I got the horses and my men so we could leave.

As we hitched the three white horses with the golden manes and tails to the cart, I put the two eggs I poached on it and let the scout take the reins. The yellow naga hissed at me and said "I won't let you take our eggs away to who knows where." I raised my sword at him and he flinched. The scout got the cart going and we were off. We saw some of the blue nagas in our way. We tried to shoo them, but they would not leave. "We know what you did with that yellow tribe naga." We drew our blades and they flinched. One of the males said "Since the necromancer died, there has been no steady supply of food. We don't have the resources to take care of all our eggs. Take them with you so that our tribe may live on." I let them load five of their eggs on the cart. they then slithered off and let us pass. The violet nagas tried to steal the eggs to eat them. We fought them off, making sure not to kill any of them. When we were able to, we rushed out the city. We then went straight to the shrine. Once we made it, we went to the basin of water and purified ourselves. The debuffs went away.
