Sarah made it to her first class of the day and took her seat near the back. The rest of the class was filing in to get ready for the morning's history lesson, but Sarah had other things on her mind besides the conquests of Genghis Khan. She had her own conquests to worry about. She opened her bag to peek at the rune, a faint purple light was pulsing from inside it. Good, everything seemed to be working. Sure, the thing with Jon's pants wasn't something she'd exactly planned for. Maybe it had something to do with the increased energy flow from the talisman. But it was worth the price if it would lead to Jon willingly handing over the wishing stone.

As she looked at the rune, it appeared that the pulsing was growing more intense. Brighter and longer until it became a steady purple glow that continued to get even brighter. Sarah clamped her purse shut in case any other Sensitives might be close enough to see the glow. But then, something more unexpected. An intense wave of dizziness hit her, far stronger than any she'd felt earlier. The room spun around her and she gripped her desk; if she'd been standing she almost certainly would have fallen down. After a few moments the feeling subsided and she felt perfectly clear-headed again. She peeked again at the rune, noticing that it had settled back into a faint pulse. What was that?

At that same moment:

Jon and Pete turned another corner before finally parting ways to get to their respective classes. As they did, Jon thought he saw Pete stealing a glance behind him as he walked away. Was Pete checking out his butt?? He smirked at the thought, glad he'd picked out these skinny jeans today. He briefly worried about not having enough pocket space, but there was plenty of room for stuff in his backpack. And besides, that sacrifice was totally worth it in order to wear something that made his butt look cute! And they complimented his ratty sneakers pretty well too. Jon felt himself swell with pride as he made his way to his first period science class.

Zoe and her friends begrudgingly made their way inside from the parking lot behind the school. Zelda had tried to convince her and Stephanie to ditch school to go see what was up with Athena, but Mr. Reynolds stopped them before they could get to Stephanie's car. Zoe was actually somewhat relieved by this development. Something about seeing Athena wasn't sitting right with her that morning. And besides, she really wanted to show off her look that day. She was feeling especially dark - deep purple eyeshadow, black lipstick and nail polish, chunky black boots and fishnet tights really were a window to her soul. And the denim cutoff short-shorts she was wearing really brought a beachy vibe to the whole ensemble!

Across town, Mikey Gibson was walking into Lake Point Junior High with his best friend Danny Mills. The two were arguing about which Pokemon could beat up the Avengers, but Mikey found himself trailing off as they passed a group of popular girls huddled around their lockers. "What's the matter?" Danny said as he noticed his friend's distraction. "Eh, nothing," Mikey said, glancing back as they kept walking. He was really hoping the girls would have noticed the purple corduroy skirt he was wearing. He picked it out himself, and he really thought he nailed the "cute but casual" look. He tucked the front of his Star Wars t-shirt into the skirt's waistband as he walked, maybe that would show it off better!

Linda Gibson shifted her car into park and sighed. It had taken her so long to get Mikey to school that she had to park all the way at the back of her office's lot. At least she'd worn somewhat sensible shoes. Sensible everything, really, she thought as she got out and adjusted her blouse and pencil skirt and started walking across the lot. Her boss Mr. Winslow was enough of a curmudgeon about her work, she didn't need her wardrobe to be an issue too. But that didn't mean she couldn't have a little fun. She glanced down at her shiny faux leather leggings as she approached the building. Who needs sensible when you can be a little daring sometimes?

On the far edge of town, Mark Gibson finished washing his hands in the office bathroom and looked up at himself in the mirror. He had some big meetings today and he needed everything to go well if he wanted a shot at that promotion! He straightened his tie and ran a hand through his short cropped hair. He took a deep breath. He just needed to stay focused - his confidence had gotten him this far in his career, after all. He took another look at himself in the mirror, making sure his shirt was tucked neatly into his pale blue pleated mini-skirt. He took a moment to twist his hips back and forth - causing the pleats of the skirt to kick up a bit, nearly revealing the teal hipster panties underneath. He stifled a giggle and made his way out of the washroom, knowing for sure he was going to nail those meetings.
