It was Saturday and Alex was not sure what to do. He had to clean up for when Leslie came over, but he was also concerned about what was happening with his friends in custody. He went to his guest room and picked up his burner phone. He called the police to get a statement on the Clover bust. He was sent to a PR officer who told him the story. Apparently, there was a tip off that members of the Clovers and the Spades. The police had a raid on the area and arrested several members on drug and firearm possession as well as attempted gang assault. There were 8 members that were taken into custody. About five others escaped the raid and were being pursued actively by the police. Alex was asking probing questions and eventually ended the interview. He then wrote up a report and added quotes from the questioning. He then sent it off via email to the local paper. The Daily Ducky took most of his articles and printed them in the paper. Some of them were even taken up by state wide and national news. It was pretty nice to see it on t.v.
He sighed and stretched for a bit after setting down the laptop. He watched t.v for an hour before he heard his phone ring. Leslie was downstairs and ready to play some games. He used the intercom to buzz her in. When she came up the elevator, Alex smiled at her. She smiled back as she came into the apartment. Leslie sat down and Alex offered her a sandwich and some soda. She took it with a smile and began eating. As she ate, they both watched t.v together. "So... how was the date?" he asked. She blushed a bit. "It was good. Yesterday, after I talked with you in the stockroom, I ran into Austin. He said he wanted to hang out after work. His face was totally red when he said it." she said before giggling. Austin was still in college. He was a mousy looking 19 year old boy with glasses and unkempt brown hair. He hardly spoke up at work. Austin got his work done so Alex had nothing to complain about. He and Lelie were both 24 years old. "Where did he take you?" Alex asked. "To the movies and then... my house." she said with a pause.
