Denise picked up the device from the desk, saying. "We need to show Mr. McMillan this,".
"Since when have you referred to him like that?" Larry asked.
"Since ... um, now. He's my boss. It would be inappropriate to call him by his first name."
"Maybe you could show him during your meeting," Samantha said.
"That's was the idea." Denise said checking her watch. "I better hurry, or I'll be late." A quick look in the mirror before she left , coursed Denise to just shrug; she didn't care as much about her appearance as she did before, if people thought she was ugly so be it, her real friends would like her for her mind, not her body.
A few minutes later, Denise made it to the CEO's office. Sarah Royce, one of the other two department heads, was already waiting just out side.
"Denise? What happened to you?" Sarah choked out in shock.
"I'll tell you inside," said Denise, opening the door and ushering Sarah into the office before her, then closing it to give them some privacy.
