When I first heard the news, I could barely believe it. Virtue Agla had finally caught on to Arariel and his amulet. I sucked my teeth. 'With the way I acted towards him last time, he might flip on us. There would be nothing we could say for ourselves.' I thought to myself in worry. I was upset and paced from side to side of the sleeping quarters. Nanael came with a box. "Did you here the news about Arariel?" he asked me. I nodded and he handed me the box. "It is from me. I was one of the last to see him before he was taken." I looked in the box and saw the amulet. It also came with instructions to destroy it. "A spy came and stole a duplicate I switched for the real one long ago. I can only entrust this to you." I put the amulet on to see if it was only one use. This time I say that I jumped 20 levels. This put me at level 47. I put it on Nanael. He writhed in pain and rose at level 43. Suzie was the next to come over and I explained the situation to her. She took it and tried it on. It only gave her 10 levels. It was nice that she was practically near principality level, but I expected more.

She shrugged and said "It amplifies power, right? I must grant larger boosts every time you rank up." she guessed. It seemed the most likely explanation. I told them to fetch Mydaiel and Analim as soon as possible. They went out to get them. When they arrived, I let them use it. Mydaiel was level 45 and Analim was level 44. Now that we had gotten all the use we could get out of it at the moment, I put it on the inside of my tunic to hide it from prying eyes. I put the first eight levels into the chef profession to max it out. The rest was spread out between speed, strength, Bow and Spear. As soon as we left the sleeping quarters Archangel Ophiel came to me. He panted and said "Principality Dabriel! I got a message from Virtue Agla! She is demanding we appear before an inquisition about Principality Arariel. You know just as well as I do that he is innocent of treason against the gods. You must say something on his behalf. I nodded. "I will. But first, I have promised Suzie that she would be able to take her Archangel Exam. I will go with you after I sen her off." I said.

Dragging Suzie along to the cathedral, I led her down to the portal. I reached into my tunic and handed her the amulet. "Here. Take this and keep it safe for right now. This way, we can kill too birds with one stone. You can get your wings and we can take the heat off us until you get back." I told her the incantation to come back when her charge was dead. "I guess I see you in a lifetime. Here's hoping I don't mess them up too bad." she joked. I just chuckled as I found a child being born and sent her there. After that I left the cathedral and joined Archangel Ophiel. We spread our wings and began to fly. I did not see the use of flying so I was poor at it. Not putting any skill points into it was also hampering me a bit as well. We still got to Volana in one piece though. As soon as we touched down, we were escorted to a large courthouse by two powerful and imposing Powers. A room was already filled to the brim with spectators. Virtue Agla was standing in front the spectators as Rarariel was chained and forced to stand up straight. She looked at me and called me to the stands.
