After she selected REVERSE, Sarah and her friends turned back into their normal selves, looks and clothing and all. And their original personalities reasserted themselves.
Sarah looked at Jay with disgust and anger. "You loser, you turned me into a geek freak. How could you do that to me?"
Jay backed away.
Ashley and Melissa looked at each other, relieved that they were back to normal.
"Ugh, I was so ugly. I'm, like, so glad I'm back to normal," Meagan said.
Jay backed away more. "Don't you still love me?" he asked Sarah.
She laughed. "Yeah, right. Like I could love someone like you." But then she stopped laughing. She could remember everything when she was a geek. And part of that was feeling love for Jay. Real love. Part of her still loved him. Part of her would always love him. And she hated that part of her.
She was thinking of doing something really horrible to Jay, but then she decided to let him go. Maybe some of her fake personality had rubbed off on her. She didn't know. But she found that she didn't hate Jay quite as much as she did before.
"Come on, girls. Let's get out of here."
And they left, leaving Jay in the room by himself.
