"Wait a minute!" Jay said.
Sarah froze. "What?"
Jay climbed up onto a nearby desk and unplugged the speaker that was on the wall up near the ceiling. The signal stopped coming out of the speaker immediately.
"Okay, now select REVERSE." Jay didn't know why he hadn't thought of unplugging the speaker before. He supposed that he wasn't thinking clearly.
After Sarah selected REVERSE, nothing really seemed to happen. They heard the signal come from the device itself, but it wasn't pointed in their direction, so it didn't affect them.
They just hoped that everyone was back to normal.
