Almost all of them were there. Sarah, Melissa, Ashley, Meagan, Allison, Kyla, Jon, and Karyn. There were two lunch periods. So, the others were probably in the other one.

Kyla, being the only one that was already a geek before, was fascinated by the fact that the eating habits of Sarah and the other girls had changed so drastically. Whereas before, they had only eaten salads and non-fattening foods, they now ate whatever they wanted, regardless of whether it made them fat or not. They didn't care about their appearance anymore.

She had noticed that Allison and Ashley were the biggest pigs of all of them. They were constantly stuffing their faces with food. Sometimes they made quite a mess, but they didn't care. They just loved eating. She had a feeling that they'd gain at least thirty or forty pounds soon if they kept eating like that.

They talked about their morning, about how tough it was. Not the "school" part, but the other students. At first, they were confused by their behavior, but soon after their confusion was replaced by disgust and constant mockery.

One boy, that had nearly worshipped Sarah before, threw a paper wad at her head and called her a "geek freak".

"How do you put up with it?" Sarah asked Kyla. The others waited for her answer.

She didn't know what to say. She had gotten used to it over the years. But in the end, she never really did "put up with it". And that's what she told them.
