Mrs. Burr, Sarah's physics teacher, had been shocked by Sarah's improved attitude towards her school work. She came into class on time, she was completely attentive, and she even did all of her homework given to her from the previous day.
What was more shocking than that, however, was how she looked. She dressed very conservatively. A white blouse and sweater, with a beige knee-length miniskirt, white knee socks and mary jane shoes, instead of her usual provocative and revealing clothing. Sometimes it was a sundress. Sometimes it was a halter top with a very short miniskirt, so that when she bent over, guys could see her underwear. And she always wore high heels.
But the Sarah in her class that morning was nothing like the Sarah that came all of that year. It was like she was someone else, only with Sarah's face.
The other "new" geek girls, as well as Biff and Jon and Karyn, all had similar experiences throughout their classes that morning. Their teachers were shocked by their change, but also pleased by it.
The other students, however, continually mocked and teased them. Sometimes they even threw paper wads at them. Most of them had never experienced something like that before, so they felt totally threatened by everyone.
When lunch time came around, they were relieved. They could all sit and eat lunch together.
Away from everyone else.
