"Yes, Miss Jameson?"
"What? What happened to you? You look like ..."
"A geek? Yeah, I know. This is how I am now."
"What are you talking about?"
"Last night, me and my friends got turned into geeks."
"Your friends?" Miss Jameson turned her head and looked at a group of geeks standing a few yards away. She had to blink just to make sure she wasn't seeing things that weren't there. Three of the geeks were cheerleaders. But they weren't going to be soon, not looking like that.
She knew what the cheerleaders were like. Yes, they were sexy and popular, but they thought that they were better than everyone else and frequently treated others as if they were inferior to them. They were brats. Some were even sluts (at least, that's what she had suspected).
But now, they were completely different. They had become unattractive geeky girls. And they acted that way too.
"Miss Jameson? Are you okay?" Sarah asked, softly and shyly.
She had also seen Biff, the captain of the football team. But now he looked like a skinny dorky geek with thick glasses. His face was the same and that was how she recognized him.
"Miss Jameson?"
At that moment, she saw Leonard, a fat nerdy boy, walking down the hallway. That wasn't strange. She had seen him before. But what was new this time was Erica Weber (also a cheerleader), dressed in a Star Trek T-shirt that said LIVE LONG AND PROSPER on the front, walking beside Leonard. She was holding his arm and leaning her head on his shoulder. She had a dreamy smile on her face.
What was going on here? Had everyone lost their minds? She was freaked out by all of this, but she'd be lying if she said she'd prefer them as they were before. They weren't brats anymore. And that could only be a good thing. Right?
When she snapped out of it, she saw Sarah and the others start walking away.
"Where are you going?" she asked them.
Sarah turned around. "We have to get to class, Miss Jameson. I don't want to be late."
And with that, they all dashed to their first class of the day.
