Meagan was the one that got hit. Her tight pink T-shirt became a conservative blouse, like Sarah's, except it was light blue in color. And her tight jeans became a long dark blue skirt. She didn't have glasses, but she did have braces on her teeth, like Karyn.
Karyn touched her shoulder. "You look much better now."
"Better? You call this better? I ... I look like a geek," Meagan said.
"That's because you are a geek, Meagan," Jon stated calmly.
"I can't be a geek. Just because I wear geeky clothes doesn't mean that I'm a geek. I could just change them. I ..."
Sarah finally left the car. She was standing about ten feet away. "There's nothing wrong with being a geek, Meagan," Sarah said plainly.
Melissa and Ashley turned around, mouths wide open with shock.
"What do you mean there's nothing wrong?" Meagan asked. "Sarah, you're the one that always said that geeks are the intellectual freaks of the world. They're losers that just ask to be picked on."
"I did say that. Before. But now I understand."
"Understand what?"
"That the world would be a better place if there were more people like us."
Karyn, Jon, and Jay noticed that Sarah had included herself as a geek when she made that statement. She was now firmly a geek. And she was fine with it.
