The attack on El Pollo was met with a big pop. The match we interfered with was the main event. I got some exp. for it. Next week on Boom, we had a mid card match. It was a singles match between "The Mage" Liam Dennis w/ Ozmaro and Rin Vs. El Pollo. Benson and Bryon were not fighting this week. However, they were already booked for an opening tag team match. My wrestling debut was going to have to wait for some time. Liam went out to his music. Owen and I followed a safe distance away. We stood at ringside and watched the match. El Pollo was a contender for a title on Picric. He was absolutely manhandling Liam. It was clear that it was our job to keep him in the match and win. I stood at the opposite end and we did everything we could do. We grabbed at his heels, rolled Liam out of harm's way and distracted everyone. At one point, Owen even pulled the referee out of the ring. He was too intimidated to eject him from the match. Owen was stalling him long enough to get in the ring and dropkick the luchador. We had done enough out the ring to do my signature.
I threw him towards the ropes and did the Middle Rope Stretch. I had to break it early as the ref was coming in. It kept him away long enough from a downed Liam that he was able to possum pin El Pollo. He held it tight and it was enough for the win. Liam rolled out the ring and we led him away. El Pollo was pissed off and threw a fit in the ring. The win gave me more exp. towards a level up. Liam sat in the locker room with us for a bit. It was after a few minutes and we had to go out. Liam had a backstage interview. He was asked about us and he introduced us one by one. We were not announced when we went with Liam for the match. It was a easy softball interview. It was then that they interviewer turned to me and Owen. "After the results of the match tonight, El Pollo and Oscar Ramon have challenged Ozmaro and Rin to a tag team match on Picric." she said. That was news to me. My debut was a lot closer than I had thought. We smiled as we walked away. Having a victory on Picric would do wonders for my career. I had to do my best to win this match.
Seeing that Liam was still hurting, Benson said "We need to find a way to keep from high level opponents. There's no way aside from using the lighting tricks to keep them from kicking our asses." It was very true. The win we got today was a big fluke. While we fought hard for it, it was very easy to see how we could have lost at any other point. We were going to need more training and experience. Much more training and experience than we were likely to get before our match. That was the nature of pro wrestling. You were either at the right place ant the right time, or you were not. I just got ready for the end of the day and went home. I was on edge and nervous about my match. I did not know what would happen to me if everything crashed around me. I then sighed. I knew exactly what. I would go to an indie promotion, destroy the competition and then come back bigger and better than ever before. That was all there was to it. Wednesday came and Owen and I were getting ready for our tag match. The new championship was going to be unveiled in the middle of the card.
