Since forty was a multiple of ten, I started with an even distribution. That meant four bars in each which meant I was an average of 2 out of 10. That was not too good. It definitely would put me in the jobber tier for a while. I decided that I could move the submission bars to other places. I never was the type to do any submissions on the consoles. I put two of the stars in Strength, one in Tag and the final in Speed. I was still a jobber, but at least I had a head start on the things that I wanted to improve the most. I was in front of the training facility for OPW. OPW stood for Optimal Professional Wrestling. I checked my menu for more information. OPW was not the highest rated show, but it was far from the worst. It had a main show on Wednesdays and a televised developmental show on Mondays. I went up to the front door and a popup appeared. It said "Requirements for entry: Any attribute 3 or higher; Personnel 1 or higher." I sighed when I read it. I really had made the right choice. It let me pass and I was given another popup that asked if I wanted to join OPW. I said I did and it dissipated.

The training facility was basically the tutorial. I taught me the basics of each attribute and how to execute moves. It was mostly manual, but there was an auto-suggestive component as well. It could do all of the punches and kicks I wanted, but the complex holds and diving could be done by just thinking of the move. It was more than just training on wrestling. There was also training on the Personnel disciplines as well. It took me a week of training before I began to fully get the hang of things. I had some made some friends with the fellow B-tier talent. There were twins named Byron and Benson Dustman. They were pretty cool. They were about three inches taller than me at 6'4. They had light complexions and sixpacks. There was also Alan Shallot. He was olive toned and 6 feet tall. He was nice to me as well. I also ran into some I did not like. Owen Garter was 6'6 and pale as fuck. He had blond hair and a snarky attitude. Joseph Starr was always angry and pushed me around when no one was looking. "Get out of here. I'm going to be the best. You couldn't lace up my boots." he would say.

I was called to compete in a match for the general manager for the developmental show. It was a match against one of the other wrestlers in the training facility. He was the one that the GM wanted to see. He was way better than me, but I gave it my best shot. At one point, I snuck in a schoolboy pin. I got a two count before he kicked out. That pissed him off. From there he beat the shit out of me and made me tap out with a mean cloverleaf hold. I rolled out the ring and sat on the apron. My legs still hurt when I went to the floor. Other wrestlers went around and did their matches. Owen and Joseph won a tag team match. I groaned as it was clear I still had a long way to go before I could move up in the industry. As we were getting ready to leave, I was called over to the back office. The GM was there along with the head trainer. "I saw a lot of spunk in that match kid. I liked what I saw. You got something that can take you far." the GM said. He then slid me a contract. "You're a bit rough, so you won't be fighting just yet. I had an idea and I think you would be perfect for it." I nodded and signed.
