Jonnie frowned as she watched her original sleep. It really wasn't fair that she couldn't live her own life just because her stupid male counterpart hadn't the brains to just revive the first Jonnie instead of creating her. She supposed she wouldn't be alive if that hadn't happened, but... But now she would have to live as a clone, a double.
"It's not fair," she said aloud.
Jonnie the First twitched but didn't wake.
"But why do I have to?" she then wondered. She wasn't limited by the laws of physics, after all. She had a magic stone! She could alter the way things were.
"I wish," she began, "That everyone in this universe besides me would believe that Jonnie and I are sisters."
Nothing appeared to happen.
"I wish Jonnie would wake up now," she wished, eager to see if it had worked.
"Mrg," the first Jonnie grumbled as her eyes opened and blinked. Her eyes focused on her duplicate. She reacted explosively, surging out of bed and snatching the stone out of her clone's hands. "Gah, Debbie! What the hell are you doing in my room?! Grandpa gave me the rock, not you, so keep your hands off!"
The second Jonnie backed away, startled. Debbie? "S-sorry... sis?" she tried.
"Watching me while I sleep? How creepy is that?" the first Jonnie muttered, not giving any sign that being called "sis" was weird. "What did you want, anyway?"
"Just... wanted to see how you were doing," she improvised. "I heard your boyfriend broke up with you?"
A flicker of pain ran across the first Jonnie's face. "I'm fine," she lied. "Now get out!"
The clone found herself manhandled to the door and shut out of her own room.
