Souris glared at me as he leveled his blade at me again. "So I can go down hard while you stab me in the head!? No way!" he spat. There was nothing that could be done about it. I needed to flee. "Well if you aren't confident about your skills, that's fine." I said. He narrowed his eyes and said "You think you can get me off balance with stupid taunts? You are way lower than me." That was what I was fearing. I backed up and said "If you really can't do it, I can bring you to the others. We can leave this city and meet them." "So they left the island already. I make sure to pass that along when I force my way through the other Protectors." He was at half health, but it was still much more than I had at full health. It was not a favorable situation to be in. I jumped in and used as much magic as I could from all the buffs I had been given from all the sex. It took a big chunk out of his health, but he was still standing on his feet. Souris was charging and I was out of mana. I needed to rely on my swordplay. I was constantly blocking and trying to parry. The chip damage was insane, but it was better than getting hit.

I saw that the door was still open behind the rouge Protector. It was the only way to escape. I took two steps towards him before i rolled past him. I was clipped by his large blade and I was taken down into critical health. I was slammed to the right wall in the hallway. I scrambled up and broke into a full sprint for the door. "Stop trying to run!" he called after me as he began a chase. I sprinted out the doorway and flapped my wings. I immediately took to the air and left the area. I really needed to get away from Souris. It was an easy flight. Because of the heightened awareness of the mermen war being waged, the attention of most guards was towards the water and not the sky where I was. I was able to get to the cathedral without being detected. I entered and walked around. The wounds and thieves guild outfit was noted by the cathedral parishioners. They were whispering amongst themselves. A nervous cleric came to me and hesitantly asked if I would like to be healed. Healing would be great. I nodded and my health and mana was restored. They gave me some robes as they wanted me to be decent.

There was no way I could get back to my home. It would be crawling with Protectors by now. Or, Souris would be there laying in wait for me with a trap. Neither would go over well. I also could not go over to the guild den. I did not want to face the other Protectors at the moment. I got them to want to flee, but the miasma might make them want to kill me. I was probably going to have to make the escape of the city and island on my own. The miasma would not apply to me off the island. I had more than enough money to charter a ship. I sighed. The mermen would be gunning for me if they recognized who I was. I could fly, but it took stamina to do so. I did not have enough to fly myself off the ocean. I would land in the water and drown. Humanoids without wings could get the Swim perk, but my wings would weigh me down. Even if I could float on the water, sea creatures would spawn. Some of them would be too high leveled for me to face. The only hope was that I could hide below deck on a boat and make it at least two thirds of the way before something went wrong on the open ocean.
