Jon had something in mind. So, he said the words to activate the device: "What if ..."
"Wait!" Karyn yelled. "You're not gonna just leave me here, are you? I want to see the other reality too."
"I know, but I wanted to see if it worked first. Then I was gonna come back and get you."
"Oh no. You're not getting away with it that easily."
"Getting away with what?" Jon asked.
"Going off on an adventure without me." Karyn grabbed the stone from him. "I wish I had a device just like the one Jon just wished for." The stone glowed and the watch-like device appeared on her wrist, looking exactly like the one Jon had. "There, that's better. Now we can go."
"I think there may be one more thing," Jon said, taking back the stone.
"What's that?"
"I wish that both devices will work together when one of them is activated." The stone glowed again. "That way, we'll always go to the same reality. We don't want to get separated."
"Good idea."
"So, are you ready?" Jon asked.
"Yeah."
"Okay, then." He paused, thinking of a reality to go to. "What if ..."
