"I wish that I am completely used to having a vagina."

After this wish the original Jon looked at his clone as if trying to see if anything had visibly changed. Nothing had, of course. "So that's it?" he asked. "You're just like me except you're not?"

"I could ask the same thing about you," said the clone. "But I can remember being you. I can remember thinking of myself as someone with a penis but I can't any more. If you gave me one it would be something foreign. My own body with my own vagina just as it should be."

"But how will you live?" asked Jon. "What will people think?"

"Well," said the clone, "what will people think about us being basically twins when we used to be one person? There are more important things to think about than my vagina--we need to figure out how to live. Who gets the Playstation and who gets the bed. We'll have to tell the school that I'm your clone and get them to copy your school record onto mine. In fact, what about Mom and Dad? How will they react when there are suddenly two of us?"

"Jon," said Karyn. "And I mean you," she said, indicating the clone. "You, or at least one fof you, do have a magic stone. You could make copies of your clothes, or of the Playstation, if you don't just play two player games. Double the size of your bed. Wish that everyone calls you by whatever name you want and make the principal glad to copy over the other Jon's record. That's what the stone does. Besides, your Mom already thinks it's normal that you have that machine. She has to expect a clone."

"Okay," said the clone. "I wish that the bed here is big enough for two people without changing any reality. For the rest... Jon, the other me, will you be willing to share your stuff? If there are things it doesn't make sense to share then wish up a second one but we don't need two of every single thing in this room."

"Sure," said Jon. "How about we make a list of things that we are going to copy?"

"That makes sense," said the clone. "How about...."

Eventually, they decided on a list of items. They would not duplicate Jon's entire wardrobe but they would copy a selection of clothes so that the two Jons could wear identical outfits if they wanted. They wished up a second chair and widened the desk, and each Jon got a cell phone, notebooks for school (they could pick up extra textbooks at school later), a toothbrush, and a set of keys to the house. Those shouldn't disrupt reality too much anyway--it was completely plausible that Jon always had spares of the items before he cloned himself.

For names, they both decided to stay with "Jon" for the moment, except when it would cause confusion, in which case phrases like "the other Jon" or "your clone" would probably be enough. They could always change that later anyway--it wasn't a wish, just what they decided to do.

And later....
