Karyn's comment brought him back to reality and he just looked at her for a moment. "Well, are you going to do anything or just stand there pointing the gun at yourself?" she asked.
Jon looked back up at Karyn and smirked. "Ha ha. Did you see me change?" His voice felt and sounded weird to him.
"What are you talking about, Joanie? You said you were going to test the gun out on yourself to see what being a guy is like, but you never fired it."
"Uh, yes I did." Holding the gun up Jon saw the setting was on "Change reality". "Quit pullin my chain, Karyn. I made sure you would remember the old reality.
"I know, I heard you make the wish. That's how I know you haven't used it yet. Look, if you're too chicken to use it on yourself, why don't you try it on your sister. Zoe would be a funny goth dude. Or better yet, make it so her clothes don't change and make a wish that she be wearing one of her gothlic lolita outfits."
Karyn was starting to laugh, but obviously something was wrong. Jon was sure she must be just trying to mess with his head.
