"I think it's time to use the stone again," Sarah said.
Karyn smiled. "I think that's a great idea."
"What should I wish for?" Sarah asked, showing that she had the stone.
Karyn's smile faded a bit. She trusted Sarah completely, but she wanted to be the one to use the stone, not her sister. "I think I should do the wishing."
"You don't trust me?"
"Of course I trust you. You're my sister."
"Am I?" Sarah asked.
"What do you mean?" Karyn asked, not knowing where this was going.
"I know about your wish to become my twin sister."
"How did you find out about that?" Karyn asked.
"So it really is true? You're not even related to me."
"But I am related to you, in this reality. Look at me. We're twins. We're family."
Sarah looked at her for a moment, then said "I'm sorry. This is just really weird for me." She looked down at the stone in her hand, then looked back up at Karyn. "If you want the stone back, just take it." She held it out to her.
Karyn wondered if she should take it or not. She would rather make wishes herself, but she didn't want Sarah to think that she didn't trust her. Because she did.
