When the guards took their statements and Karyn still lay unconscious, Sarah began to get worried. There was the sound of an ambulance siren, from outside the mall doors... no doubt the ambulance was arriving.
"Karyn, I don't want you to die," said Sarah. She opened her purse, reached inside to touch the stone, and said "I wish Karyn was awake and not hurt."
She was expecting Karyn to slowly awaken, maybe to yawn. Instead, Karyn was suddenly standing in front of her, right in the middle of a sentence. "but I'm not sure that's the best idea."
"Wait, Karyn!"
"Sarah, what is it?"
"The ambulance siren. It just stopped."
"What ambulance siren?"
"The ambulance that came after Joy knocked you out."
"Joy knocked me out?"
"I'm not in the mood for this. I wish you know what I'm talking about."
"Oh!" exclaimed Karyn. "Joy knocked me out, then you wished me awake. But if I'm awake, people think I've always been awake. So nobody knows I was knocked out. No security guards, no police, no ambulance. And Jon and Alan just went home. I don't think they remember the fight."
"Just because there's no police after them doesn't mean we can't have some fun with them anyway," said Sarah. She still hadn't decided what to tell Karyn about not really being sisters. "I think it's time to use the stone again."
