As Joy washed her hands, she turned towards Alison suddenly. "Wait," she said. "I think I have another idea."
"What is it?"
"How about we just wish up a device? You know, like what I did earlier, with the dream machine."
"You're gonna wish up another one? Isn't that what got us into this mess in the first place?" Alison asked.
"If you can think of something better, tell me."
Alison thought about it, but couldn't think of a better idea.
Holding the stone, Joy said "I wish I had a small device that allows me to change the gender of the person I target with it, and make it so that the person had always been that way. Also, I wish that any target within five feet of the device won't have their memories changed to fit the new reality." She didn't want to forget about who she really was. This wasn't the wishing stone, so it had different rules.
"Wow, that's a mouthful," Alison said, as the stone glowed.
After the light from the stone dissipated, they both saw the device sitting on the restroom floor. It looked very much like the dream machine, except that there was no display screen (there was no need for one) and it was a different color.
Joy picked it up and looked at it. "So, who should I zap first? Me or you?"
