Karyn, shocked, tried to back away but Joy managed to wrest the stone away from her.
Little did Joy and Alison know why Karyn was so surprised. Karyn had wished that until she goes home, Jon and Alan wouldn't approach her or try to take the stone. Yet, they just did exactly that. Karyn had thought the wish was perfect, so she was unprepared for them to contradict the wish and steal the stone back anyway. Of course, if Karyn had thought about it, she'd have realized that it was Jon and Alan who couldn't take the stone--not Joy and Alison. Once Karyn changed their names, the wish no longer had any effect.
"I wish Karyn and Sarah would go away and forget about the stone and about using it on us," said Joy.
Suddenly the two blondes did an about face and started to head off in the other direction.
"Now, what do we do?" wondered Joy. "We need to restore Karyn, and there has to be some way around this wish..."
