Jon flew out the bedroom window, on instinct, and was halfway across town before he realized what he was doing. He was flying. At super speed. He felt incredibly cool, until he remembered he was basically wearing a women's swimsuit and a cape. He tried to push the feelings of embarrassment to the back of his mind as his ears locked in on the screams. His eyes focused on where he could hear the screaming, and found that he could see clear across the town, his vision felt like it was telescoping, as he could now see the woman, running down the street, away from her car, that was being torn to pieces by what looked like a 10 foot robot.
"Holy Shit." Jon said to himself as he landed, softly, on the street in front of the robot. The robot tore the engine out of the car, and seemed to be drinking the oil that was flowing out of the broken engine block. Jon took a step forward and in his most heroic type voice said "Stop right there villain!" He felt slightly ridiculous saying it, and slightly cool as hell.
The robot turned his attention to Jon, and dropped the car's engine to the pavement. Jon put forward a classic superhero pose, fists on hips, legs spread apart, cape flapping behind him, eyes squinted in seriousness. The robot cocked it's head at him and with the speed of a race car and force of a Locomotive, it backhanded Jon.
Jon was caught off guard, and flew backwards by sheer force into a parked car. The car buckled under and folded almost in half as Jon's super human body smashed into it. Jon was completely uninjured, and pushed the car off him as he got back to his heeled feet.
"That was the wrong move, Dumbass." Jon said through gritted teeth. The robot seemed surprised that Jon wasn't vaporized into a meat spray after that blow he just delivered. Jon cracked his knuckles menacingly, and pushed off the ground, speeding across the street. The robot hadn't thought Jon could do any damage to it, and didn't put up his defenses as Jon landed a huge left hook.
The robot's right arm shattered, his face was smashed, and the robot collapsed backward onto the ruined car, oil leaking out everywhere. Jon stood for a moment, waiting to see if the robot got back to its feet. Jon could heard the various functions and signals in the robot slow to a stop as the robot turned off.
Jon had defeated it. His first mission as a superhero, he had fought a giant robot, and kicked its ass.
"Cool." he said to himself as he looked around to see if any people needed help. The woman, who ran screaming, had seen the entire fight and come back once she saw Jon had won. Jon gave her a big smile and asked her "Are you alright?"
"Who are you supposed to be?" the woman asked, looking at him in confusion.
"Uh..." Jon wasn't sure himself, but said the first thing that came to his mind. "I'm Powergirl!" he said heroically. The woman gave him an odd look.
"But..." she said "you're a boy." Jon looked at the woman, as the woman looked at how he was dressed, and Jon's face went red in embarrassment.
"Okay, glad to help. Have a nice day... uh... citizen." Jon said as he pushed off, and flew back into the sky as fast as his powers allowed.
"What the hell...." the woman said as she watched him disapear into the sky.
