Penelope was really excited when I approached her and Rose. "You would marry someone like me, my lord?" she asked. I smiled and held out a hand. She took it and I said "You are the mother of three of my children. I would be the most foolish man alive to not want to marry a woman as beautiful as you." Rose pouted and asked "What about me, my lord? Am I not pretty enough for you?" I kissed her hand and said "I can only marry one. Your are very pretty, Madam, and everyone knows it. Be happy for your sister." She raised and eyebrow and said "Penelope is pretty lucky. I'll manage though. The manor is more than enough for me." She then walked off on her own. I looked after her, but my attention was pulled to Penelope. "When are we getting married, Davie?" she asked. I had heard back from the church. Since neither of us were baptized, it was going to cost us to use their priests and space. They would allow a wedding in the cathedral for five million of the currency. I decided to just get us all baptized the next week. It would help in the long run.
It cost 100,000 to get all of us baptized. The church was obviously fleecing me of my money, but it was okay with me. I scheduled their youngest priest to come to my manor to officiate the wedding a week after that. I invited the Pretty Boys and Suzie to witness it. It was a small and intimate thing. "So you went native?" Dusty teased. I smiled and said "I have some big plans." He blinked and said "I guess it's alright as long as you know what you're doing." Suzie jumped on him and said "You want to join up, right? Unless it's really dumb." I shrugged and said "I'll tell you two when it starts to come in. You'll be the first to know." That satisfied them and they walked off to do their own thing. Alphonse and Finn were off to the side drinking by themselves. I approached them, but they tried to move away. I was not going to let that go and caught up with them. They congratulated me on the wedding, but it did not seem genuine. I nodded and let them pass by me. They both must have really wanted to marry me themselves. Leo and Liam were laughing with Claude.
After the party was over, they left and I went to bed. Archer walked next to me to complain. "Look at what your stupid egg is doing to me. I used to have muscles here!" he said. The baby was starting to push out all of our stomachs. I had the same thing going on. Jump was the only one still fit. That was something that he made fun of all of us about. In return, we ran him ragged with errands. I had also been visited by other nobles. The Gillmond, Lambter, Colltomb, Springwin Houses began calling and inviting me to events. I had a connection to Gillmond House through Caspian and Malcolm. Lambter, Colltomb, Springwin were the Drak Switch houses. They had a mix of Alpha and Omega members, but Switches were the heads of the families. I made sure to go to all the events I could. I also took Martin with me. With those events, I was able to socialize and talk to people from the other houses that also were invited. They did not seem to like me from the fact that I was never invited by them. I did not let it bother me. All of it was to create alliances and gather influence.
Everything was going well until my stomach hurt and a popup appeared. I had a few minutes before my child would be born. I called an ambulance to take me to a hospital. It picked me up very quickly and they placed me in a private room while I waited before it was time. It certainly paid to be a count. I also got calls on my phone that my other children were being born as well. Some were even being taken to the hospital I was in. I was put under some strong anesthetics so the procedure was very painless for me. I practically leapt out of the bed when the procedure was done and the medicine wore off. That surprised everyone in the room. I named my daughter Danni and walked over to see who else was around. Archer, Penelope, Rose and Dodge were here as well. Mary and Swift were at the other hospital. Jump went with them. I was able to keep their spirits up as I visited them. They were tired and worn out. Archer and Dodge were pissed at me. I named their kids Kim and Kathryn. It was nice. Penelope's kids were called Leon, Luka and Link. Ken, Kenny and Kenneth were Rose's kids.
