"Hmm," said Jon. "I wonder if anyone else we know is here. Maybe anyone who's two years older than us. People who are two years older went to college in the fall..."
"And," noted Karyn, "we just erased that age gap. We're in college at the same time as them. They could be here. I thought we had gotten rid of Sarah McMillan..."
"Oh, come on," said Jon. "With all the schools in the country, how unlikely is it that she's at the same one as us? Do you remember which college she went to?"
"No, I have no idea," replied Karyn, "which means it could very well be this one. Anyway, we'll find out. Let's get to the dorms..."
But on their way, they found a stack of paper on a table inside the front door. Jon looked at it. It was just a pile of flyers for a party. A party that would be held tonight.
"Hey, look at this," said Jon. "A party welcoming the new class. I bet they aren't expecting anyone with a magic stone to show up, though..."
