Jon kissed Karyn back, as if it was his last chance... and then realized. It was so simple. "Karyn, I've got it! If we're not with our parents, this isn't a problem. I wish that we were both two years older and in our first year in college, and that we're going to school at the same college, a good college, and that we know enough to be in college."

A few seconds later... there was no change at all. "Jon," said Karyn, "that was a nice idea. It would have worked... but it didn't."

"I don't get it," said Jon. "I wish that I knew what happened... of course. There's no college around here, and creating one from scratch isn't something the stone would just do... Okay, I wish that my last wish happened, but that the stone teleported all over the world very fast and changed reality in each little piece, so we can really be in college no matter how far away the college is and no matter how far away our parents are."

The stone disappeared from Jon's hand.

"Nothing's happening," said Karyn.

"I don't know," said Jon. "Maybe that was a bad idea..."

But suddenly, they were outside, by a bench, some trees, and a group of brick and concrete buildings. A nearby sign read "Pleasant Valley College, Campus Map".

"Yay!" yelled Jon. "It worked! It must have taken several seconds before the stone covered enough of the world for us to be teleported to college."

"I feel different," said Karyn. She looked herself over. "I get it. I'm a few years older. The whole thing worked! But the stone...."

They went off to get lunch and talk things over, when suddenly Jon, raising a French fry to his mouth, found himself almost biting the stone, which had reappeared in his hand. "It must have taken all that time to teleport around the world and change reality so everyplace thinks we're 18 years old and in college..."

"But we did it," said Karyn. "It was a good time of year to do this, because school just started, so we really don't have to worry about having months of college classes we forgot. It's like having just gotten here. I wonder how our dorms are set up though?"
