Rationally, Jon knew that he shouldn't jump to conclusions, but part of him couldn't help but think that she was reacting to her wish in a very unexpected way. That maybe she liked being that way. And something about seeing her with Sarah McMillan of all people, while simultaneously ignoring him, got that part very angry.
He reached into his pocket, and felt the stone resting there.
Muttering to himself, John said "I wish I knew what's been going on with Karyn the last couple of days." Clearing his eyes of the flash, John was shocked to find his mind filled with Karyn's memories from the last 48 hours. Suddenly, John felt ashamed of what he had been thinking of Karyn, then shocked "Oh no, Sara heard Karyn's wish...". John fought to clear his mind of suddenly spending the last two days living Karyn's life as if he were really her, he need to think of what to do that wouldn't make things worse. Karyn's simple wish had made so many unexpected changes.
What to do, what to do...carefully...
"well, ok", John said quietly, "first I wish that Karyn and I are still best friends and that as her best friend I am also close friends with all her other friends and all the cheerleaders automatically include me in any activity that Karyn is involved with when I'm there. There, that should keep Sara from being able to seperate us." The sudden change in Jon's clothing went unnoticed as he blinked the light from his eyes. "Oh, and I wish that Karyn and I would have all the knowledge and skills needed to fit into this reality without losing any of our memories." As Jon's posture changed while blinking away the light he wondered what he should wish to protect the stone, all the changes going unnoticed as they all felt normal.
