I looked at him and said "I guess you guys really don't care about Talmin, do you?" "Rouges like us work under the cover of darkness and in the shadows. We would be bad at our work if we were worried about the light." Jump said from his chair. "The priests Talmin keeps are the real problem. They will kill non believers in the street." Dodge added.

I nodded as I stood straight to greet her.
I said "I left weeks ago, so how did you just find me? You must have a mole or tracking device on this ship." She gave a curt nod and said "After that stunt you pulled with the attack on Cadini, we have been through in making sure to keep a log on who comes in and out and where they go." That made sense. I ordered my men to bring the map of the new continent and a marker. The officer and her guards looked it over. I pointed out the island in the archipelago. The islands were like a rhombus with Istolil being a outgrowth from the shape. It was one island, then another, then two, then three, then two more and a final one. I explained the coalition of Talmin to them and pointed out the four we had been as well as Kopoi. "These five will be Wendalian territory. You can have the other five if you can pacify them." She looked shocked and then skeptical. "You are giving up pretty easily after we found you. Is this a trap?" she said. I shrugged and said "We can't and won't fight you here and now. All of the diplomatic ramifications would be catastrophic. Our mission is secret after all."
She smirked and said "So if we killed you all, we could take the whole archipelago?" I shook my head. "No. We would defend ourselves. I'd slaughter you and make it all look like the natives did it. They had no Elite mechas and only three Battle mechas. That did not mean the ship we had could not be sunk. If it did, we would be trapped here. She shrugged and looked at the map and said "So you want us to take on these savage extremists. What capabilities for warfare do they have? I can assume not much for you to be all the way here in such a short time." I explained it to he and she began to laugh. "I see. I also was given a secret and open-ended mission. I'll certainly take it under some consideration. Thank you for the map." She took the map with her. As she was leaving, she looked over her shoulder at me. "I can see you are going to get very far in this life, Lieutenant Davie Davids." she said before continuing onto her ship.
