Rick brooded as he walked the street. He had no idea where he was going. When he turned the corner he noticed for the first time a small magic store.
"This should be fun. Take my mind off of her shit." Rick said and entered the store.
As he entered Jon asked him if he needed anything.
"Nothin man, just lookin'"
"Okay, I'll be in the back, just ring the bell if you need anything." Jon said and walked into the back smirking.
Rick looked around the store. Everything looked like old junk to him. Until he noticed a set of men's and women's watches. He really liked the man's watch. There was no way he could afford it they were boxed together.
Rick looked around for cameras. He didn't see any.
Rick carefully slid the watches into his bag and left.
Jon came around the corner smiling. "Shame on you Rick. Oh well."
Rick spent the day with friends. His dad gave him a call on his cell telling him tomorrow was Mother's Day. Rick just thought of the watch he stole and said. "Got it covered."
Rick snuck in the house at 11:30pm. No one was up and he didn't feel like dealing with them in the morning. He placed the woman's watch on the kitchen table and left a note and went to his bedroom.
He decided to check out the watch before going to sleep. He put it on and thought it looked good on him. Then he went to sleep.
His mother went to the kitchen to get a late night snack. She noticed the watch.
"I guess he's not that bad of a kid after all." she said to herself and tried on the watch. The date needed to be reset. It was set for April 07 1983. She would be in her senior year of high school then. She'd figure that out in the morning. She had her snack and went to bed.
That night she dreamed of her Senior year of high school. She had been far too promiscuous. Somehow her dreams converted into a dream of Rick stealing the watches.
Meanwhile Rick's dream of stealing the watch coverted to a dream of his mother as a teenager.
When Rick awoke he felt strange. He smelled strawberry lipgloss. The clock radio, he didn't have was playing Starship's "We built this city"
"Cheryl! Turn that down!" came a banging at the door.
Rick said "Wha..." but it wasn't his voice. It was his Mom's.
He opened her eyes and looked around. There was a Motley Crue Poster on the wall.
"Where am I?" he said in his mother's voice.
