Then she thought: Existing profile? What existing profile? The last person she had used the Master PC on before Eric was herself, just as a test to see what information it could find out. Of course it was on a different computer, but computers sometimes saved the places you had been to even if you reload the program.
She could already see Eric starting to speak: "What am I doing here?" he said. "Why do I sound like Er--" Quickly she yelled "Just act like Eric for a little while. I'll figure something out."
Jason was completely puzzled at this strange utterance. Eric seemed to think it over. If Lizzie could figure out what happened, someone with Lizzie's profile should be able to figure it out too.
Lizzie shut the door and quickly returned to her computer. She brought up Eric's profile and as she had guessed, the profile that was copied was her own. It would be weird for Eric to act like her, but she didn't have a real Eric profile to put in instead. Maybe she could fix the copied Lizzie profile... she went to the text area and added a line. "Eric is good at pretending to be the old Eric." Could that be enough to fix it?
