When Karyn woke up, she took her bag downstairs. It was the last day of tryouts. "I wish the tennis coach will make his decision and announce it by the end of tryouts today." She looked through the glass and saw Axel was still sleeping. "I wish that everyone would consider it normal that Axel is now a centaur." she said. Karyn then went back to her room before sitting at her desk. From there, she transferred her consciousness back to the male centaur. She stood up and woke Axel. He grumbled as he got up. His tail was lashing to and fro in irritation. "So we're going to school now?" he asked. She looked at him and said "Axel. You can't touch the magic stone, and if anyone tries to steal it- kick their ass." He frowned and crossed his arms. She then began walking to school. He followed behind her. When they got to the school, it was an hour early. He said "I need to get my stuff. I had a project due, shit!" Karyn took out the stone from her bag and held it in her hand. "I wish Axel's homework for today was completed correctly." The stone glowed and he smirked.
He said "I guess you're alright. I'll go get my stuff now. It's still in the locker room." She nodded and let him go. He came back thirty minutes later with his bag slung over one shoulder. Other students had trickled in and he was annoyed. "What the hell did you do to Coach!?" he demanded. She blinked at him. "He handed me my bag and said hello to me. He did not even notice I have a horse's ass!" Axel yelled. Karyn shrugged and said "I made sure to make it so everyone thinks it's normal. I did not want everyone freaking out around you. It makes both of our lives easier." Axel fumed for a bit and stomped his foreleg repeatedly. When he realized it, he flinched and glared at her. She did not care. "Go about your daily routine. I want you to meet me at the tennis courts after school. Do not tell anyone about my powers or how you were transformed." she said. He narrowed his eyes at her. He then left her by herself. Karyn then went about her day as well. She went up the elevator to her classroom and stood at her desk early. Karyn was ready.
Karyn went through another day of boring classes and was glad when the day was over. She went down to the tennis courts to support Mason and Casey. When she got there, she saw Axel was already there. He was flirting with a girl at the gate. "... I'd like see your fine ass run on the court." Karyn hear him said as she approach. The girl he was talking with, blushed and said "Thanks. Tryouts for the girls is next week. I was on the team last year so our coach told us to take the week off." Axel smirked and said "So I bet you'd be up for a date sometime next week? I'll give you my number." She practically tor her pocket open to give him her phone. He entered his name and number in the contacts list and said "Call me when your feeling bored next week." She nodded and walked away with a giant smile on her face. "You're really going to go on a date with her? Just like that?" Karyn asked. It made Axel raise an eyebrow at her. "It's how school works. Jocks date Cheerleaders and other Jocks. I'm on the football team and she's on the tennis team. No problems there." he explained.
Something about it annoyed her, but the coach began the tryouts before she could say anything. Karyn thought there were even less boys than before on the court. She counted twenty four. That was the best case scenario for Mason and Casey. They only had to beat out four others to be put on the team. "Who are you rooting for?" Axel asked her. She pointed them out and he rolled his eyes. The tryout this time was to have the boys face off against each other for a game. First they were allowed to pair up for doubles, but after that they went into singles play. It was going pretty well until the coach blew a black whistle. Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at him. There was a tiny bit of tension on the court. "I've made my decision. Thanks for trying out, boys! You did good, but for four of you that's all you'll get from me." He called out four names and dismissed them. They did not look happy at all. "For the rest of you, you made it! Starting two weeks from now, be prepared to sweat and put everything out on the court. Do better, and you'll get to play in meets." the coach said.
